October Favorites - 2011

I can not believe October is over! This year has flown by super fast but anyway although I'm a little late I wanted to share my favorites of the month on this post. Hope you enjoy :)

Victoriana (Left) & Tea with the Queen (Right)

*Butter London polishes: Although they are $14 I think they are worth the money. The formulation is different than other polishes I have & are really opaque. I bought these at Ulta when they were having a BOGO free deal, which was amazing! I jumped on the deal right away, if you're a nail polish junkie I advice you try these. I only have these two...for now.

ELF Studio Blush in Mellow Mauve

*ELF Studio Blush in Mellow Mauve: This blush is such a beautiful & very pigmented blush! I love how it's also perfect for Fall :) This was only $3, which is awesome. The pigmentation is def there, so next time you're at a Target or online at eyeslipsface.com, I def recommend this one.

*Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Blushing Mauve: This is such a beautiful mauvy color for the Fall or even for everyday wear. I love the finish & the color. Also it's very moisturizing on the lips & not drying at all. I bought this at Wal-Mart for about $5 which is also a steal.

*Borghese 200 Eye Powder Fluff Brush: This brush is my favorite eye brush! Great for the crease & blending, good for the crease only if you have bigger spaces on your lids. I purchased this in a brush set from Costco about 5 months ago. I know the brush set was recalled, I'm not sure for what reason though. So unfortunately it's not available anymore. Costco is selling a new brush set though so it might have something similar in it. You might want to check it out if you have a Costco near you.

*Hard Candy Glamoflauge Concealer: At first I honestly didn't like this concealer, I thought it was over hyped on YouTube. I bought it because I thought I would instantly fall in love w/it but it took a while. There's a certain method you have to use to love this product. So I recommend trying different techniques until it works for you. This shade is in "Medium" btw & a little goes a long way w/this. I bought it at Wal-Mart for about $6.

*Wet 'n Wild eyeshadow trio in Walking on Eggshells: This is a perfect everyday eyeshadow look, I love this. Most of WnW eyeshadows are amazingly pigmented so if you haven't tried any I feel like this one is a great way to start w/the brand. I bought this at Target for about $3 so it's super inexpensive.

*MAC Select Sheer Loose Powder: I literally bought this powder a year ago, on Nov. 10, 2010 & I'm barely running out! I'm def gonna repurchase this powder, it's super light weight & natural looking on the skin. I love loose powder because it's easier to control & not alot is needed. I feel like this powder really isn't shown any love on YouTube. But if you love loose powder then this one is a great one to try. It is $23 but like I said it last forever & it's def worth it. Also this is the only setting powder I have so that just shows you how long it will last even if you use it everyday.

*NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm: I really, really love this lip cream! It's something different from anything I have. It's not a lip gloss or a lipstick. It's a cream, kinda like whipped cream consistancy. I love how it's also matte for the days you don't want glossy lips & if you want shimmer or gloss then it's easy to just add one. I bought this at Ulta for I'd say around $4. They have a good selection of colors so I def want more! Oh & they smell really yummy too!

*Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden: This is by far my favorite eye shadow primer! I've tried a NYX one, ELF & 2 other UDPP. But I always go back to this one! It was $18 I think at Sephora but I know Ulta also sells it. This primer has a matte finish, so I feel like it's perfect for people w/oily lids. I will def be repurchasing when it's gone.

*Urban Decay Naked Palette: Obviously you've seen & heard of this amazing palette! I just bought this palette in September & pretty much I use it everyday if I want something neautral. The color pay off is amazing, if you haven't tried UD shadows then I feel this is a great way to start. You are getting 12 shadows for $48 which is a good deal since each shadow is usually around $17, this palette makes each shadow around $4!! Yeah I know it's awesome.

*Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque: This is a very affordable face mask! It's green & smells very minty (hense the name) so if you don't like the smell of mint then you def won't like this. I love it so it doesn't bother me, it was around $4 at Walgreens. It's also sold at Wal-Mart & Ulta I believe. I'm sure it's sold at other drugstores as well. Since I have oily skin I feel like it helps w/the oilyness. It def lessens it after I wear it & it also claims to dry pimples which I think is true. I love this mask & I recommend it.

*It's a 10 Miracle Leave - In Product: This is a very raved about product on YouTube, I got it for free when I signed up for the ULTAmate rewards card so I was very happy to see this in the gift bag. I've been using it since September & I love it so far. It smells very good & it leaves my hair shiny & smooth. I know the full size product is a little on the expensive side but I may be willing to purchase it.

So that's all for my October 2011 favorites! I really hope you enjoy this post, it was more tiime consuming than my NOTD posts. I'm still not sure if I'll be posting this every month lol but anyway, what are your beauty favorites of the month? I'll love to know!

Thanks for reading lovelies

NOTD: Revlon's "Facets of Fuschia"

3 coats w/flash

I've been seeing this polish everywhere on YouTube & even on some blogs & at first I thought "It's pretty, but I'm not much of a glitter fan". Yeah, I know weird! But...I still looked everywhere for it, just because sometimes in person it looks so much better. This polish was no exception! I went to Walgreens & they were sold out, went to Wal-Mart & nothing, then Target & ta-da! They were stocked, which made me super happy & pursuaded my friend to buy it as well (I know enabler lol) So a little about this polish: it's a black based polish with chunky fuschia glitters that are all different sizes, which I just LOVE! I guess I am a glitter fan after all cause this polish screams Glitter Addict, & I'm willing to take that title!

3 coats in natural light

I used 3 coats of this polish because I wanted to add more glitter but 2 was just fine. At Target the nail polish was $3.74, I know price varies depending where you buy it. Revlon polishes are starting to be one of my favorite brands, they are inexpensive compared to Essie or OPI & that's always a plus. Also this is a dupe to one of Deborah Lippmann's polishes called "Bad Romance", price is a major difference between the two though. DL is $18 & for now I'm willing to stick to Revlon. This polish has become probably my favorite at the moment. Hope you enjoyed this post.

Would you buy this polish? & if you have it, what do you think of it?
Thanks for reading lovelies!
